Our Managing Partner Deen Gumerson

Deen Gumerson is a managing partner and founder of our company, AmCheck Las Vegas. In 2004, Deen kick-started his career in the payroll industry as a sales representative. In 2007, he took a leap of faith and started his own payroll service.

With time, his responsibilities shifted from a sales representative to operational management. Being proficient in operations and sales gave a unique perspective to Deen about the industry. He takes pride in delivering the expected with the practical experience of doing that right. Due to this perspective, he and his team have accomplished the industry's highest client satisfaction rating.

Deen grew up in Oklahoma City, after graduating from High School he moved to Tucson Arizona to become a wildcat at the University of Arizona. In 2000 he graduated with a degree in Economics. Soon after he began his carrier in the payroll HR field and hasn’t looked back since. When he isn’t working he enjoys spending time with his family outdoors whenever possible.

Christina Egbalic
Payroll Account Director

Christina Egbalic has been with AmCheck since 2018. Her professionalism and her attention to detail is a reflection of her years of experience in the financial industry. She grew up in Minnesota and went to the University of Minnesota studying HR and Business Management. Christina’s willingness to help and friendly nature is always appreciated by her clients.Outside of AmCheck, Christina loves spending time with her family and enjoys cooking and being a foodie.

Chantal Olsen
Senior Payroll Account Director

Chantal Olsen has been a member of the AmCheck Las Vegas team since 2015. Her payroll experience started in 2010 on the client administration side of payroll but Chantal found her happy place here with AmCheck as a bureau administrator. Her focus is primarily enterprise level clients who utilize all the AmCheck bells and whistles. She has two children and loves to be outdoors with them as often as the Vegas heat permits.

Tori Hill
Payroll Account Director

Tori Hill joined the AmCheck team as an Account Director in 2016. With five years’ experience in the Payroll HRMS field, she is often described knowledgeable, thorough and dependable and it shows in the care and attention she gives to clients. She loves to complete DIY projects in her free time and spends the most time in her craft room at home.

Allison Bernhardt
Payroll Account Director

Allison Bernhardt has been a Payroll Account Director with AmCheck since March of 2018. Prior to AmCheck Allison had worked in the HR industry bringing more than 5 years experience to the team. Currently she is working towards her Masters in Human Resources Management. Allison loves building relationships with her clients while helping them resolve any Payroll and HR issues they may be experiencing. In her down time Allison loves to dine out, she loves to travel, she loves her puppy, but her favorite thing of all, is getting a laugh!

Adriana Borjas
Benefits Specialist

Adriana Borjas brings 6+ years of be nefits experience to the team. She is bilingual and fluent in Spanish. Previously working solely benefits, handled open enrollments for large groups in both English and Spanish. This gives her the experience to analyze and administer all benefit plans. It is important to her to try and make the process for clients as easy as possible.

Kevin Pipsair
Implementation Specialist

Kevin Pipsair has a combined 18 years of experience in the third-party payroll industry, the last 5 of which as an AmCheck Implementation pecialist. He prides himself on being a diverse employee who assists all clients new and existing with their HRIS system needs. Kevin lives and works remotely in Dallas, Texas, where he enjoys his dogs, friends, a good patio and too much Tex Mex.

Ryan Bormann
Senior Sales Executive

Ryan Bormann joined the AmCheck Las Vegas team as the Senior Sales Executive in 2017. He has been in the Payroll HRMS industry for over 5 years and has more than 10 years of business development experience. Ryan takes a consultative approach with each new AmCheck client to ensure they receive the products and services they need, and none that they don’t. When Ryan isn’t at the office or in the field, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. On the weekends you may even catch him on the golf course if his wife allows it.

Christy Maioli
Operations Manager

Christy Maioli achieved her Human Resources Management Certification from the University of California Irvine, She joined the AmCheck team in 2010. As the Operations Manager of the AmCheck Las Vegas office for over a decade, Christy has an intense appreciation for the value of building a strong team. She often uses the phrase “GO TEAM” in staff communications as a reminder that we are all working towards the same goals… together.

Billy Jackson
HCM Consultant

Billy Jackson joined the AmCheck team in 2012. He currently resides in San Diego, CA, where he served for six years with the US Navy & completed his bachelor's degree at San Diego State in 2011. Billy is a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), with eight years’ experience in the Payroll HRMS field. His focus is on improving the HR, Benefits & Technology user experience. If it can be automated, he will find a way! Billy enjoys being outdoors with his two daughters and loves experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes or craft beverages. Cheers!

Deen Gumerson
Managing Member

Deen Gumerson born and raised in Oklahoma he earned his Bachelor's degree in Economics at The University of Arizona in 2000. Combined he has 16 years experience in the Payroll HRMS field. The first half of those years being on the sales end and the second half on the operations end. This has provided Deen with a unique skill set. He prides himself on setting up proper expectations with new and existing clients and cares greatly about exceeding those expectations every time. If Deen ever finds an opportunity to duck out you know where to find him. At the lake with his family!
